We believe

ܒܚܕ ܐܠܗܐ. ܐܒܐ ܐܚܝܕ ܟܠ
B’khad Alaha, Aba Ahida Kol
In one God, the Father Almighty

ܥܒܘܕܐ ܕܫܡܝܐ ܘܕܐܪܥܐ.
Abwoda d’shmaya w’dara
Creator of heaven and earth

ܘܕܟܠܗܝܢ ܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܡܬܚܙ̈ܝܢ ܘܕܠܐ ܡܬܚܙܝ̈ܢ
W’dkolhyn ilyn d’metkhezeen w’dlo metkhezeen
And of all things visible and invisible

ܘܒܚܕ ܡܪܝܐ ܝܫܘܥ ܡܫܝܚܐ
W’bkhad MarYa Yeshua Mshikha
And in one Lord, Jesus Christ

ܝܚܝܕܝܐ ܒܪܐ ܕܐܠܗܐ
Yekhideya Bra d’Alaha
The only-begotten Son of God

ܗܘ ܕܡܢ ܐܒܐ ܐܬܝܠܕ
Hwa d’men Aba at’eld
Begotten of the Father

ܩܕܡ ܟܠܗܘܢ ܥܠܡ̈ܐ
Qadem kolhon alme
Before all worlds

ܢܘܗܪܐ ܕܡܢ ܢܘܗܪܐ
Nohra d’men nohra
Light from Light

ܐܠܗܐ ܫܪܝܪܐ ܕܡܢ ܐܠܗܐ ܫܪܝܪܐ
Alaha sharira d’men Alaha sharira
True God from true God

ܝܠܝܕܐ ܘܠܐ ܥܒܝܕܐ
Yelida w’lo ‘abida
Begotten, not made

ܘܫܘܸܐ ܒܐܘܣܝܐ ܠܐܒܘܗܝ
W’shwe b’ausiya l’Abuhe
Being of one essence with the Father

ܕܒܐܝܕܗ ܗܘܐ ܟܠ
D’b’aydeh huwa kol
By whom all things were made

ܗܘ ܕܡܛܠܬܢ ܒܢܝ̈ܢܫܐ ܘܡܛܠ ܦܘܪܩܢܢ
Hwa d’m’talten b’nashe w’mtal purqanen
Who for us men and for our salvation

ܢܚܬ ܡܢ ܫܡܝܐ
Neht men shmaya
Came down from heaven

ܘܐܬܓܫܡ ܡܢ ܪܘܚܐ ܩܕܝܫܐ
W’etgasham men Ruha Qadisha
And was incarnate by the Holy Spirit

ܘܡܢ ܡܪܝܡ ܒܬܘܠܬܐ ܝܠܕܬ ܐܠܗܐ
W’men Maryam b’tulta yeldat Alaha
And from the Virgin Mary, He became man

ܘܗܘܐ ܒܪܢܫܐ
W’hwa bransha
And He was made man

ܘܐܨܛܠܒ ܚܠܦܝܢ ܒܝܘ̈ܡܝ ܦܝܢܛܝܘܣ ܦܝܠܛܘܣ
W’ets’talav khalpyn b’yome Pentoos Pilatos
And was crucified for us under Pontius Pilate

ܘܚܫ ܘܡܝܬ ܘܐܬܩܒܪ
W’khesh w’mit w’etqabar
He suffered, died, and was buried

ܘܩܡ ܠܬܠܬܐ ܝܘ̈ܡܝܢ ܐܝܟ ܕܨܒܐ
W’qam l’tlata yome ayk d’tsaba
And rose again on the third day according to the Scriptures

ܘܣܠܩ ܠܫܡܝܐ ܘܝܬܒ ܡܢ ܝܡܝܢܐ ܕܐܒܘܗܝ
W’salq l’shmaya w’yatab men yamine d’Abuhe
And ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand of the Father

ܘܬܘܒ ܐ̇ܬܐ ܒܫܘܒܚܐ ܪܒܐ
W’tub ata b’shubkha rabba
And He will come again in great glory

ܠܡܕܢ ܠܚܝ̈ܐ ܘܠܡܝ̈ܬܐ
L’mdan l’khaye w’l’mite
To judge the living and the dead

ܗܘ ܕܠܡܠܟܘܬܗ ܫܘܠܡܐ ܠܐ ܐܝܬ.
Hwa d’lmalakuta shulma lo it
Whose kingdom shall have no end

ܘܒܚܕ ܪܘܚܐ ܩܕܝܫܐ
W’bkhad Ruha Qadisha
And in the Holy Spirit

ܕܐܝܬܘܗܝ ܡܪܝܐ ܡܚܝܢܐ ܕܟܠ.
D’etwhe MarYa makhayna d’kol
The Lord and Giver of life

ܗܘ ܕܡܢ ܐܒܐ ܢܦܩ
Hwa d’men Aba npaq
Who proceeds from the Father

ܘܥܡ ܐܒܐ ܘܥܡ ܒܪܐ ܡܣܬܓܕ ܘܡܫܬܒܚ.
W’am Aba w’am Bra mestaghd w’mishtabakh
Who with the Father and the Son is worshiped and glorified

ܗܘ ܕܡܠܠ ܒܢܒܝ̈ܐ ܘܒܫܠܝ̈ܚܐ
Hwa d’melal b’nabaye w’bshlikhe
Who spoke through the prophets and apostles

ܘܒܚܕܐ ܥܕܬܐ ܩܕܝܫܬܐ ܩܬܘܠܝܩܝ ܘܫܠܝܚܝܬܐ.
W’bkhada ‘idta qadishta qatoliqi w’shlekhi
And in one holy, catholic, and apostolic Church

ܘܡܘܕܝܢܢ ܕܚܕܐ ܗܝ ܡܥܡܘܕܝܬܐ ܠܫܘܒܩܢܐ ܕܚܛܗ̈ܐ.
W’modinain d’khada hi ma’amodita l’shubqana d’khatahe
We acknowledge one baptism for the remission of sins

ܘܡܣܟܝܢܢ ܠܩܝܡܬܐ ܕܡܝ̈ܬܐ
W’maskinain l’qiamta d’mite
And we look for the resurrection of the dead

ܘܠܚܝ̈ܐ ܚܕ̈ܬܐ ܕܒܥܠܡܐ ܕܥܬܝܕ.
W’l’khaye khadathe d’ba’leme d’ateed
And the life of the world to come
